How to Replace laptop Keyboard

1,  Shut down your  Acer Extensa 4420 / Travelmate 5520 /emachines d620 . Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery.

2. Open the LCD screen all the way to facilitate the easy removal of the middle cover.

3. To remove the Middle Cover, carefully insert the plastic flat screwdriver under the side of the middle cover and gently pry up the middle cover. Continue prying on the other side until you could detach the Middle Cover.

4. Detach the cover and turn it over on the keyboard.

5. Disconnect the Power board cable from the main board and disconnect the Power board cable.

6. Remove the Middle Cover together with the Power board.

7. Remove the two screws (F) securing the Acer Extensa 4420 Travelmate 5520 keyboard to the upper case.

8. Carefully pry the keyboard out of the latch and slide it out; then turn it over on the touchpad area.

9. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the main board to remove the Acer Extensa 4420 / Travelmate 5520 /emachines d620 keyboard.

10. Reverse the procedure to install your new
